A stray beam of light caught a blade as a hooded figure appeared behind one, his dagger silencing any screams with a bloodied gurgle. A few moment later, the sounds of two splashes echoed throughout the pier.
"You're clear," the hooded figure whispered into a headset. He stealthily approached the door as from the water, what appeared to be a giant bubble enveloping 3 people rose up, popping on the shore
"Must you kill everyone?" grumbled a dark-skinned woman, trying to shake the water out of her hair
"It's a hell of a lot easier than knocking them out with a tranq gun and hiding them in lockers. Besides, there's less of a chance of them coming to and alerting everyone."
"Come on guys, we dont have time for this!" A slim brunette joined the group, floating down from the inky sky.
"You're sure this is the right warehouse?" A second woman looked around nervously, eyes flicking back and forth as though there were several more men waiting to jump them from the shadows.
The man next to her smiled reassuredly."Relax, Vanhi, he has a homing beacon under his skin, remember? The signal is coming from right in there. Come on."
Vanhi sighed in relief. "If you're sure, then." She pulled a bobby pin out of her pocket, easily picking the lock on the door. It swung open with a slight creak, causing the hooded figure to wince, and the group walked inside.
They hadn't moved more than 2 metres into the building when the door slammed shut behind them, and a spotlight lit up, illuminating a figure ties to a chair, obviously unconscious....or dead.
An intercom speaker crackled to life. "How stupid do you guys have to be to walk into such an obvious trap? Now you retards are going to join your friend over there." several nets dropped down, ensnaring all but the hooded man and the brunette, who cut through the rope with ease.
"Kill them!" commanded the voice, as the room was lit up, revealing several more guards.
"Kat, get Turtle, Ladyboy, Aqua creation, and Steve free! I'll hold them off!"
Pulling out a handful of knives, he threw them at the men. The majority missed, but one managed to embed itself in the thigh of an overweight man.
"Oh GOD!" The poison on the dagger soon made his vision swim as he began to lose consciousness.
"I....used to be a goon....till I took a dagger to the...." a dagger was planted between his eyes before he could finish his sentence.
"I fucking hate that meme." the figure seethed. He began humming to himself as he dropped into a combat stance
"You killed Tony!" a guard with a scar over his eye cried out. "I'LL KILL YOU!" pulling out a switchblade, he lunged at the man, only to be sidestepped and stabbed between the shoulderblades.
"Run up in slow motion, kick a guy in the head..." a goon tried to stab at the figure, before finding himself on his back
"Stab his friend, spin around, roll off, punch a face." another guard was on the floor.
"Start out in slow motion first then use a speed hack!" Someone came at him with a baseball bat, only to see him grin "Grab a sword, use it to deflect, stab him in the back!"
"Shut UP, Tomo!" Kat exclaimed, running up to join her friend.
"Spoilsport," Tomo grumbled, a moment's distraction allowing a guard to sneak up behind him and deck him over the head with a two by four. He groaned, before slumping to the ground. The guard swung again at kat, only for her to fly up out of his range. She waved at him as the black woman knocked him out from behind.
Kat flew up into the air, before plummeting down, using her momentum to send another man flying. Grabbing another man, she flew into the air, hanging him off a nail on a rafter.
"I could use some help here, Christi!" exclaimed the woman on the ground as 4 more thugs surrounded her, one swinging a chain in a lazy arc.
The black-haired girl began moving her arms back and forth in a sweeping arc. "I'm on it, Turtle!" A torrent of water burst through the windows near the roof, sweeping up the remaining guards and flinging them against the far wall, before freezing solid.
The intercom crackled to life once again. "Grrrrrr! I'll get you next time, fantastisquad!"
Steve approached the figure in the chair as the man began to stir. "You look like shit, Tank."
The man grumbled as Steve began to untie him. "....Hangover."
His task finished, Steve held out a flask. "So, you DON'T want any more booze?"
Tank glared at his friend, partner, and boss. "Who do you think I am?" Grabbing the flask out of his hands, he took a big swig.
"Come on, let's get out of here before reinforcements arrive," Vanhi spoke, looking around to make sure none were missed.
"Agreed." The group walked towards the exit, Tank picking up Tomo on the way, then kicking the door down.
"I need a fucking drink."
